A day after the arrest of three people,who were arrested by Panchkula police for allegedly submitting fake appointment orders for joining Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP),the police are looking for the main accused who had issued the fake orders.
The three arrested told us that a constable with ITBP Centre in Dehradun had provided them the fake appointment letters, said a Panckula police officer. A police team is likely to visit Dehradun for further investigations.
Three resident of Uttarakhand were arrested by Panchkula police after a complaint was lodged by Assistant Commandant,ITBP,Bhanu Training Centre,Tapas Niyoni,alleging that Rajbir Singh,a resident of Tehri Garhwal,Anil Bisht and Naveen Chand,both residents of Chamoli in Uttarakhand had submitted fake appointment order to join the force as a constable.
A senior officer of the ITBP said that no internal inquiry has been ordered so far after the fraud had surfaced. The appointment letters were found fake after a verification was conducted by us. The case is now being investigated by the police, the officer said.
Police sources said that in 2008,they had also detected a similar kind of fraud and arrested two brothers.
