Cops trace caller of hoax bomb at marriage palace

Hoax bomb calls have become a headache for Ludhiana police who have received two such calls within a span of one month.

Hoax bomb calls have become a headache for Ludhiana police who have received two such calls within a span of one month. Coming down hard on the callers,police have tracked down the caller who made a hoax bomb call on Sunday.

DCP Ashish Chaudhry said,ADCP (Crime),Harjinder Singh constituted a CIA team led by Inspector Gurbans Singh Bains. This team tracked down Sukhwinder Singh,a resident of Raipur Bet village,who made the call on Sunday.

It was on Sunday afternoon that the Ludhiana Police control room received a call that a bomb had been planted at a marriage palace located on Chandigarh road and another one at Deressi. Anti-sabotage teams were dispatched immediately,however no explosives were found. A case has been registered against Sukhwinder Singh on sections 419,420,507 of the IPC,68 of Police Act and 66-67 of the IT Act.

This youth has told us that the girl he loved was getting married on Sunday and that this marriage was to take place at the marriage palace. The love affair was one sided and the girl did not reciprocate the boys feeling. To disrupt the marriage he made the call, said Chaudhry.

We are trying to track down the person who made the call regarding the Green Land school a few days ago and he too will be punished, added Chaudhry.
