Ahmedabad:A couple was arrested on Sunday for allegedly killing an auto-rickshaw driver. Police made the arrest after the victim's family members took out a protest rally carrying the body in front of a local police station a day earlier. The victim, identified as Ashwin Rathod, a resident of Ghanchi ni Chali in Naroda, was found in the locality with stab wounds in December 15 and he died in hospital on December 29. Police arrested Kaniyalal Solanki and his wife Vina in this connection and started prove.
Arvind Mills catches fire, no casualties
Ahmedabad:A minor fire broke out at Arvind Mills in Vatva area of the city on Sunday. No casualties have been reported so far, police said. Fire service personnel reached the spot and controlled the blaze. Fire officials said a short-circuit led to the fire.
