A city court on Thursday granted 10-day custodial interrogation to the special cell for questioning Akbar Ismail Choudhary, a suspected Indian Mujahideen terrorist accused of sending terror emails before the Delhi serial blasts.
27-year-old Choudhary, who was arrested by the Mumbai police in October last year, was brought to the Capital from Hyderabad. He was produced before Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Kaveri Baweja, who remanded him to police custody till June 20.
“The accused is stated to be involved in Delhi blasts case and purchased a laptop for sending e-mail and used a Maruti Esteem, which is yet to be recovered,” said the court.
