With the defence seeking time to reply to the CID’s affidavit, the court adjourned the hearing for the day. Additional Sessions Judge P P Bhatt will take up the matter for further hearing tomorrow.

When contacted by The Indian Express, advocate Mitesh Amin, who is appearing for the Rajasthan policemen in the case, said that the CID’s affidavit was silent on Kausar Bi’s death. He also said that the petitioners had returned to Udaipur on November 26, the day of the “encounter”.
