  • The Centre for Police Research (CPR) has, in association with Maharashtra Information Technology (MITech), has designed a workshop on cyber crime awareness for police staff and non-IT professionals including lawyers, chartered accountants, doctors and business professionals.

“The CPR has made an agreement with MITech for conducting workshop on cyber awareness for police and non IT professionals. The workshop will be conducted every Sunday, second and fourth Saturday,” said state CID chief SPS Yadav who is also the executive director of CPR.

“We would like the regular internet users to attend the workshop. Though the cyber attacks have increased significantly, the number of cyber crimes reported is much less. There is a need for more awareness about cyber crime and cyber laws,” he said.

“We have roped in cyber security experts, police officers and also panel of judges to train the participants. The first workshop will be held on November 8 at CPR, Pashan Road,” said Sudam Choure, president of MITech.
