In another match, Prabhu Jolly came close to registering a victory but were thwarted by the last wicket pair of Sporting Union who held on for dear life in the last three overs. Prabhu Jolly, who enjoyed a 42-run lead, were polished off for a paltry 67 in their second innings as Matin Ansari and Suraj Verma claimed five and four wickets respectively for Sporting Union. Captain Shantanu Dalvi returned figures of 3/32 with his off-spin but failed to tighten the noose on the opposition or enable Prabhu Jolly to register an exciting win.
Elsewhere, Bhavin Darjee, Mahim Juveniles's left-arm spinner and off-spinner Umang Sheth from Gay Cavaliers gave standout performances, claiming seven wickets each to help their teams register first innings win.
