The Calcutta Stock Exchange (CSE) benchmark index lost 149.60 points during the week as investors shied away from taking fresh long positions. The local bourse had gained 41.67 points during the previous trading week. The index opened at 7899.61 and touched an intra-week high of 7991.98 on Monday but in all the consecutive four trading sessions,the bourse slipped and ended at 7750.01. BHEL lost Rs 10 during the week to close at Rs 2290. ONGC lost another Rs 85 per share to close at Rs 1210. Shree Securities was Rs 275 at end of the trading week. State Bank of India lost sharply and closed the week at Rs 2630. Tata Steel was Rs 668.05 at close. Vindus Holding finished at Rs 293.10.
