    The theme of Studio Practices, an art exhibition curated by Sandra Khare is a sense of enquiry. The show will have 15 emerging artists from June 19 to July 18. The show will be a compilation of canvas, paper, sculptures, video, installation and films. With artists like Vijay Bondar and Shruti Mahajan, the exhibition promises to be diverse in its offerings.

    Incorporating narration of form and thought, the pieces will be displayed as several solo shows instead of a compilation or group exhibition.

    Odyssey of colour
    Nitya Sarkar’s An Odyssey of Colour will feature a collection of her art at DD Neroy Gallery. The exhibition will concentrate mainly on paintings that focus on India and Indian woman. Juxtaposing vivid colours with gentle strokes, Sarkar’s pieces have a soothing feel to them.

    Her work Kathakali displays her attention to intricate detail whereas Applause displays use of broad brush strokes.

    In the family
    The Salecha Family may not eat together, but they definitely work together. Artists by profession, the family is showcasing their talent at the Museum Art Gallery. The exhibition Celebrating Consciousness presented by ‘the artist group’ entails both paintings and sculptures courtesy of the trio; Ashok and Jayshree Salecha, the parents and their daughter Punam.

    Their work, though representing their individuality, is centrally themed on meditation.

    With sculptures that examine the true nature of life and paintings that depict power and optimism, the exhibition promises to bestrikingly unique.
