nspite of the curfew has been lifted from Kashmir,shutdown and stone throwing continued for the sixth consecutive day in several parts of the valley. The shops and business establishments in Srinagar,however,opened on Saturday.
As curfew was lifted,on saturday after five days of shutdown and curfew. in Srinagar,shops,business establishments and government offices were opened The public and private transport were also functioning normal on the roads.
The north Kashmir,however,remained closed for the sixth consecutive day as youth were took to streets immediately after curfew was lifted. Youth clashed with police and paramilitary forces in the twin towns of Sopore and Baramulla.
Clashes also erupted at Kakapora in South Kashmirs Pulwama district when youth protested against the nocturnal raids in the district iwhere several youth were arrested by police. Police said that clashes also erupted at Bijbehara and Mattan towns of Anantnag district. In Bijbehara,an army man was injured when youth threw stones at a vehicle. Police said that an auto driver was injured when he was hit by a stone at Mattan
