Customs dept wants permits of seized aircraft cancelled

    For private use, 25 per cent duty is charged. However under NSOP there is complete waiver. The import of private aircraft has to be approved by DGFT. The DGCA and customs department have differing opinions on this issue. Last week senior DGCA officials were also questioned at length by the customs department on this issue.
