The Pratapgarh Police have arrested Santosh Mishra, one of the main accused in the murder of Dalit boy Chakrasen Gautam on August 15. Second accused Akash Dubey surrendered on Thursday afternoon.
When contacted, Pratapgarh Superintendent of Police Brij Raj Meena confirmed the news. “We managed to trace Mishra who was hiding at a friend’s place and arrested him,” he said. Gautam was allegedly killed by upper caste people as he had qualified for the engineering exams.
