Dark and Desirable

The silhouettes,in the designer’s signature style,were contemporary and incorporated leather jacket dresses,skirts,cropped jackets and pants. What stood out,however,was the use of leather and “modern” fabrics such as neoprene,polytex and glazed microfabric.

Adding drama to the collection were the angel wings embellishments. The collection showcased Joshipura’s expertise in texturing fabrics in a subtle yet noticeable way. Fine leather strips were appliqued to create the wing patterns while surface textures were created through embroideries and trimmed with leather. A long dress in metallic taupe gold with the wings almost working their way up,entwining the fabric was a stunner. The latter half of the collection was high in glamour and Joshipura’s style of sheathing was hard to miss.
