Meanwhile, Deptt. of Evening Studies, PU, Chandigarh, SGGS College, Chandigarh and PU Campus, Chandigarh secured second, third and fourth positions respectively.

Neel shocks Mankeerat to lift U-10 title
Mohali: Neel Singh Dhaliwal stunned everyone as he shocked top seed Mankeerat 4-2, 5-4(7-5) to claim the boy's Under-10 category in the British Total tennis championship being held at Mohali on Tuesday. After winning the first set comfortably by 4-2, both the players went neck to neck till the eight game when, in the tie-breaker, Neel kept his nerves and took a crucial 5-3 lead. However, Mankeerat fought back and snatched two points to make it 5-5. Neel didn't lose his nerves and won the next two points to emerge victorious. In the men's category, Manjot Singh whitewashed Nikhil Sandhu 4-0, 4-1, to claim the title. Manjot looked in total control of the match and conceded just one game to Nikhil. In the boy's Under-12 category, Manvir Singh claimed the title by defeating Pranav Chopra 4-0, 4-0 in a lop-sided final match. The boy's Under-14 title went to Siddharth as he prevailed over Jaideep 4-0, 2-4, 10-7 in an exciting encounter.
