The uneasy silence at Bhatta Parsaul extends to every corner of the village. The police have imposed CrPC Section 144,banning assembly of more than five people and restricting media entry. For an outsider it might seem that normalcy has returned here.

People are trying to move on from the incidents of the past three days. They want the police and the media to be kept at bay and that is why police checks have been imposed, said Manisha Singh,Commanding Officer (Meerut).

According to sources,ADG (Meerut-NCR) Gurbharan Lal has been made the operational head of the search operations in the village.

Around 300 policemen are stationed inside the village. The police have denied charges of atrocities, claiming that they took the injured villagers to the hospital. Inside the village, residents are still waiting for missing men, who, they claim, were picked up by the police. We have taken in custody only those farmers who were responsible for the violence, said Mohini Pathak,Commanding Officer (Noida).
