Day after, slain MNS man's kin blames Sena leader

    According to Datta Karale, DCP (Zone III), on Tuesday morning, while MNS activists were forcing people to shut down shops in protest of Raj’s arrest, Jaiprakash Dubey, a prominent north Indians of the village and a BJP worker, refused to shut his shop and attacked the MNS activists. The matter worsened in the evening when MNS activists, led by Moreshwar’s younger brother Gurunath, clashed with the north Indians.

    “In the evening Jaiprakash Dubey came near Bhoir’s residence and challenged him,” said Shoba Bhoir, the sarpanch of the village. “In retaliation, Gurunath and 10 others attacked the Dubey family. In the clash that followed, Gurunath was stabbed to death,” added Karale. The MNS activists, in retaliation attacked the Dubeys and Omprakash and Mayur were lynched to death.

    “It was a pre-planned attack,” alleged S S Dubey, elder brother of Omprakash and Mayur. The bodies were taken to their hometown, Varanasi, on Wednesday evening. The cops have still not arrested anyone in the case.

    Locals in MaharastraBy: NITIN | 24-Oct-2008 Reply | Forward I fully agree with Raj and approve to what he is doing as other ruling politicians who should care and think about the maharastrians have become dumd spectators towards the feeling of locals in Maharastra. I personally do not agree to the tactics of Raj but fully agree with his views. Unfortunate thing in our country is that the issue is understood by the ruling parties only after an outburst.

They are bent on dividing everybody from Christians to Hindus.Remember this Priya Dutt who has got all worked up with MNS . Does she remember what her brother did to the city. He is acquitted because she manipulated to get a seat in Congress. Now you know the height of corruption. She has been hibernating and then she will start visiting Muslim areas to get their attention. What has she done for anyone? Her brother has a lot of underworld wealth can he make his black contribution to the underprivileged people. Can she answer that? These are all empty words uttered whenever it is time.She is a female goondi.He has been charging 50 crores for being a killer or a goon. Come what may do not be surprised they may come with guns and 100 rs to get your vote. So villages or city people let us all unite and vote them out. We will not hear who is a Hindu or christian.     High time to regulate intra-state migrationBy: Jay | 23-Oct-2008 Reply | Forward I am not a Marathi but I lived in Mumbai for long. Mumbai-Maharashtra is first for local people and then for others, not vice versa. This is not a specific case for Maharashtra, but many other states like Assam, Bengal etc are also suffering from uncontrolled influx of unskilled and semi-skilled people from outside states. Outsiders are not coming to those states for charity but for their own good. Federal and state governments also should start thinking to implement laws to protect vast diversity of Indian culture, language and also control intra-state migration (something like mandatory job card to get house rent, voter ID, ration card etc.). Semi skilled and un-skilled jobs should only go to outsiders when no suitable candidate is found in the state. People from other states must not be forced to pay high price for total anarchy and lack of development in states like Bihar and UP.

But are you sure that you will find enough Maharashtrians to work as daily wages as construction workers. I hail from poor state but even there locals do not come forward to do manual works. Neither they do in Punjab which is rich state. Stop migration at your own risk.

But that's not the case right now. There may be some cases, in some specific sectors that there is not enough local people but that must not be the argument for not implementing rules to control intra-state migration. If a specific sector is not getting suitable candidate for any job, THEN ONLY that job will go to outsider and there are specific ways to prove it (as done in many countries like Switzerland). And in such cases the salary and other benefits must remain the same. Lower salary-benefit must not be used to lure people from outside state depriving local people. Be assured that there will be no shortage of any workers, mainly semiskilled and unskilled sector even if we implement very strict intra-state migration laws. In Swiss, many Indians and East Europeans are migrating there to do many “dirty” jobs despite of very strict laws and without much opportunity to get citizenship there. If Biharis and UPites find working in Mumbai feel more safe and prosperous than other options they have, they will not hesitate to undertake and abide by all such rules. And it’s upto Mumbai and MH to remain attractive to others to get manpower. In that case both migration problem will be solved and quality of life in Mumbai-MH and Bihar-UP will improve.
