  • Sourav Ganguly became the sixth Indian on nine occasions to score a double century and a fifty in a Test match. He achieved this feat by making an unbeaten 63 off 77 balls with nine fours and a six in India’s second innings in the third and final Test match at Chinnaswamy Stadium on Tuesday

    The 126 extras in the match so far is the new record of most extras in a Test match between India and Pakistan. The previous record was 117 extras at Mohali in 2004-05.

    Kaarthick’s performance was second worst by a keeper in an innings of a Test match — he conceded 35 byes after England’s Les Ames who conceded 37 byes in Australia’s 327 at The Oval in 1934.

    Misbah-ul-Haq scored his second century (133 not out) in 17 innings of 10 Test match.

    Ishant Sharma claimed his maiden five-wicket haul in second Test ending with figures of five for 118 in Pakistan’s first innings.
