It is the hour of reckoning tomorrow, when the fate of the candidates sealed in the electronic voting machines will be revealed. Only 10 out of the 210 candidates be able to pass the crucial electoral test tomorrow. For the rest it will be heartbreak.
For the time being though, every party is claiming to win all the ten seats in the state, and most party leaders have gone on record to claim this.
Meanwhile, the Election Commission has readied itself for the counting of votes of the 10 Lok Sabha constituencies in Haryana tomorrow at 90 counting centres in the state, said Chief Electoral Officer, Sajjan Singh.
The counting of votes will commence at 8 am with postal ballots, after which the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) will be taken up. All the results are expected by afternoon, he said.
The election results of four constituencies in the state-Reserved constituencies of Ambala and Sirsa and Karnal and Kurukshetra were expected to be declared earlier than the results of the other constituencies as the candidates in these constituencies were much less compared to others. The results of the Hisar constituency was likely to take the most time as there were as many as 38 candidates in the fray there.
A total of 67.94 per cent of 1.20 crore total votes had been cast in the state. There were as many as 210 candidates in the fray including a record number of 14 women for the 10 Lok Sabha seats.
