It may be mentioned that few days ago,Transport Minister had told the bus operators to submit a “white paper” within 10 days mentioning how much fare hike they want, the present fare as well as their income from sale of tickets. The proposal will be submitted to the Group of Ministers following which it will be decided how much fare can be increased. After getting these assurances from the minister, the private bus operators had called off their strike.

Regarding the demand of plying more passengers in an auto, the minister said auto drivers can take five passengers after 12 pm. The decision,he said, has been taken as most of the passengers had to face inconvenience during night because of inadequate autos.
