Teacher’s day out

Chitrangda Singh had everyone impressed while shooting for Desi Boyz. While she got along with producer Krishika Lulla fabulously with regular lunches and trips to Harrod’s and Selfridges,Anupam Kher could not stop praising her acting prowess.Krishika found Chitrangda to be a lovely girl with whom she jelled well. And the beautiful actor also spent a great deal of time discussing the nuances of acting with Kher. So impressed was Kher with her knowledge that he invited her to visit his acting school and conduct some workshops. Chitrangda found the experience quite enriching and is now looking forward to visiting his acting academy.

Sweating it out

Raveena Tandon can give quite a few a run for their money. The actor,who was never really serious about her fitness regime,now follows a disciplined workout schedule so much so that she never gives it a skip. Her determination was evident when recently,despite having to catch a flight to Ahmedabad,Raveena made it a point to go for a power-sprint walk before leaving for the airport.

Other favourite ways to maintain her svelte figure are indoor skipping and cycling. The actor also starts her day with a glass of warm water with lemon and honey and keeps a watch on what she eats. All this despite being a hands-on mom to two hyperactive kids,Rasha and Ranbir.

Lady in Red

Ask Kareena Kapoor how the bright red saree was chosen for the Chhammak chhallo song in RA.One and she giggles,saying that it was Shah Rukh Khan’s choice. “He was very sure that he wanted me to wear red. Then Manish Malhotra added his bit saying that if it had to be a saree,to make it Indo-western with a wild design. And that’s how the almost non-existent pallu and the low-cut blouse were styled,” said Kapoor about the costume which has become a rage. The Chhammak chhallo girl added that Shah Rukh wanted a costume similar to her period look in Asoka in which she played Kaurwaki,the Princess of Kalinga. The final result has been an amalgamation of the two and it only enhances the look of the actor as she dances to the steps of the foot-tapping number.

Fielding attention

Imtiaz Ali and his team went all out to make their film look and feel real. So much so that they even spent some quality time with nature. They along with hero Ranbir Kapoor and debutant Nargis Fakhri shared some fun moments in the lush green fields of Punjab recently.

And one day,Imtiaz,Ranbir and Nargis,even took off to the fields without their security team,assistants and other staff. An excited Nargis was seen running around chasing grasshoppers and taking in the sights of the beautiful green fields. Imtiaz disappeared to some place to soak in the peace and Ranbir sat on the grass with cows roaming in the fields. The actor enjoyed the peaceful time in the rustic atmosphere. It looks like the team has some fantastic time in Punjab.

New jodi in the making

This is a new jodi of actor-director in the making that is all set make waves with their lethal combination. Though they did not take off well,Akshay Kumar gradually began to enjoy working with director Prabhu Deva. According to a unit member of Rowdy Rathore,the actor is quite bowled over with Prabhu’s style of working. After the initial hitch,when it took time for both Akshay and Prabhu to warm up and get comfortable with each other,they set aside their differences. And being thorough professionals,they let their work do all the talking. It was after eight to ten of working together on the film that Akshay got a complete hang of the director in Prabhu. So much so that now the duo is definitely bonding. For Prabhu too,it was a step in the right direction since the only other Hindi film actor he has worked with so far is Salman Khan in Wanted.

So now we are expecting fireworks from the duo with their film.
