  • A HINDU woman and Muslim man who allegedly defied their families and got married recently were kidnapped from outside Tis Hazari courts on Wednesday evening, according to their lawyer.

The couple’s lawyer, G M Rana, has told the police that Khushboo Singh, 23, and Shoaib Siddiqui, 27, got married in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, about two months ago. Siddiqui is from Aligarh and Khushboo comes from Moradabad, in western UP.

The police have registered an FIR against unknown persons under IPC Sections 365 (kidnapping) and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention).

Rana said they fled UP and came to the Capital in September-end and were staying at a friend’s house in Dwarka.

According to the FIR, registered at Sabzi Mandi police station on Rana’s complaint, Khushboo and Siddiqui had gone to meet their lawyer Rana in the Tis Hazari courts on Wednesday. Rana told Newsline that they left from gate number 2, where he saw a metallic colour Innova waiting.

The lawyer had come out with them and was walking behind when, suddenly, a few persons came out of the vehicle and forced the couple inside, he said. “The car sped off immediately and though I tried to give a chase, it was futile,” Rana said. “I called the Police Control Room after that.”

Rana said Khushboo and Siddiqui met about two years ago at the telecommunication company they worked for in Moradabad. Siddiqui recently got transferred to Aligarh and Khushboo’s relatives got to know about their relationship and forced her to quit her job in Moradabad, he said. This was in June, this year.

Hindu Moslem marriageBy: Izra Huq | 19-Oct-2009 Reply | Forward Was the kidnap staged? I have heard of the Jihad Love in Kerala and the West Coast which involves a moslem youngman feigning love and affection for a non moslem girl and once has her trapped, her fate is unknown! I know of one case in Hyderabad in which the moslem man who appeared affluent despite having no jobs, married a young pretty Hindu college girl promising her a job in the Middle East. When he tried to take her out of the country, her parents pulled levers in the govt and thwarted the plan. Many of these naive girls end up as sex slaves in the Middle East.
Love Jihad activities of southBy: KMR Overseas | 18-Oct-2009 Reply | Forward Parts of Kerala and Mangalore region of Karnataka gripped with new phenomenon of Love Jihad, as reported hindu girls being used for Jihadi activities after conversion. Hindu girls realize their plight only after hijab enforced on them but that was a point of no return. Inter religion marriage to be accepted only if Hindu girl retain her basic human rights (no enforcement of hijab, muslim husband no right for polygamy)
INTER-RELIGION MARRIAGESBy: NAVIN ASTI | 18-Oct-2009 Reply | Forward Full investigation should be made in such cases. But Mr.Editor! do you know that there has been a case of Mr.Rajneesh Sharma in Jammu for which all so called secular Media(including IE) has kept a blind eye. Were you sleeping for that news or was it in line with infamous Media's anti-Hindu attitude or out of the fear of loosing your connection with unparallel Anti-Hindu NDTV?
Defying family, religion, couple get married in Aligarh; kidnapped outside city courtsBy: Kotwal | 18-Oct-2009 Reply | Forward The couple after marriage should have converted and become budhists and that would have solved all problems, as a hindu would not become a muslim and a muslim would not become a hindu.
