Deka asks AIIMS to handle Bisoi patients

The families of patients who were being treated by Dr A K Bisoi continued their protest outside AIIMS director Dr R C Dekas office on Tuesday.

Bisoi was suspended on March 9 by the Health Ministry and patients who were under his care claim their cases have been ignored since then,as no other doctor was appointed to attend to them.

In a bid to quell the protest,Deka has issued instructions to the acting head of the Cardio Thoracic and Vascular Sciences Centre (CTVS) that Bisois patients should be properly attended to.

In a letter addressed to Dr Balram Airan,Deka says,I appreciate your effort in providing attention to Dr Bisois patients. In keeping with that please ensure that all necessary steps are taken to assist these patients. Earlier,Deka had asked the CTVS to provide five of their surgeons to look at cases involving Bisois patients.
