National carrier Air India is planning to seek compensation from Boeing for a delay in the delivery of its 787 Dreamliner. One of the fastest-selling plane ever, the Dreamliner, suffered its second setback when Boeing recently announced a three-month delay. Air India was originally scheduled to get the first of its 27 Dreamliners ordered in September this year. “As per the original plan, we would have got four planes between September and December 2008,” said Air India chairman V Thulasidas. The deadline was first revised to February 2009 and now has been pushed ahead further. Thulasidas admitted that the delay was going to affect the airline’s expansion and consolidation plans.
