Senior Railways officials were used to getting requests from all and sundry for "confirmed" tickets. For the past few days, they were being flooded with a different kind of request. Officials were inundated with calls for entry passes to the International Trade Fair at Pragati Maidan. A senior official, who has been left frowning on the barrage of calls, said it was easier to arrange rail reservations than to get trade fair passes. After having arranged passes for his superiors, the exasperated official explained to a caller how easily he "can buy a trade fair ticket at Pragati Maidan".
