Some in the DDA are of the opinion that the recent agreement, signed between DDA and Emaar-MGF, developers of the Commonwealth Games Village, may work in favour of the land owning authority. A section of the agreement stipulates that Emaar hands over a list of all unsold/unbooked flats to the DDA, so that the authority can choose which 333 flats it wants to purchase. Naturally, all flats with better view are likely to fall in the DDA’s kitty!
Caught on camera
Along with tape recorders, the Anti Corruption Branch (ACB) sleuths have also started using small cameras while conducting sting operations. Though, for Inspector R C Meena and ASI B S Meena of Moti Nagar police station just safeguarding against the ACB was not enough. The two had allegedly demanded bribe from a few persons, threatening to implicate them in a false case. They had arranged to take the money late in the night, when the chance of an ACB raid was minimal. The cops, however, not only landed in ACB net, but were also filmed, though not by the ACB. This time, it was the complainants who used a hidden camera and recorded the proceedings themselves.

Former Union minister Rao Inderjeet Singh being dropped from the Central Cabinet has shocked many Congress leaders, particularly supporters of the Gurgaon MP.
What has come as a bigger surprise is that despite having elected nine Congress MPs to the 10 Lok Sabha seats in Haryana, the state’s share in the Union Council of Ministers has gone down. Kumari Selja is the only minister this time.
