The month of April this year has seen moderate temperatures so far, with drizzles and a cloudy sky keeping the mercurys ascent in check. This weekend, too, began on a pleasant note as western disturbances over Pakistan and Jammu & Kashmir brought light rain on Saturday and Sunday mornings. While the Safdarjung Met Department recorded only traces of rain on Sunday, the maximum temperature took a plunge to settle at 32 degrees Celsius,4 degrees below normal. Day temperature had touched a high of 35 degrees Celsius last week. According to the Met department, light rain and thundershowers will continue till Wednesday. The precipitation will mostly occur in the evening or in the morning, said an official at the Safdarjung Met Station. Sundays minimum temperature was recorded at 20 degrees Celsius, normal for this time of the year. Due to the cloud cover and humidity, minimum temperature is expected to rise a few notches over the coming nights. The day temperature, meanwhile, will register a dip.
