Maharashtra Governor has called Ashok Chavan for talks.

Against the backdrop of delay over government formation in Maharashtra, Governor S C Jamir held separate meetings with caretaker Chief Minister Ashok Chavan and deputy Chief Minister Chhagan Bhujbal at Raj Bhavan in Mumbai on Tuesday.

Neither Chavan nor Bhujbal spoke to the waiting media while leaving the venue.

"The Governor met Chavan first, followed by a separate meeting with Bhujbal to discuss the issue of government formation," informed a Raj Bhavan spokesperson.

Though, Assembly election results were announced on October 22 and the new House come into being the next day, the new government is yet to be sworn-in, a Vidhan Bhawan official said pointing out that the term of the outgoing House ends on Tuesday.

The delay in formation of the government is because of wrangling between Congress and NCP on the issue of portfolio allocation.

Meanwhile, Opposition BJP-Shiv Sena alliance leaders would be meeting the Governor tomorrow to seek imposition of President's rule in the state as Congress-NCP alliance has failed to give a new government even 11 days after the poll results, BJP group leader in Assembly Eknath Khadse said.

Losers are Maharashtrians anmd Tax payers whose money is being wasted on Empty Tents and Chairs kept for holding grand "Swearing-in Ceremony". Honourable governor, with political leaning towards Congress is trying to call parties in tussle to fool the people and to show his concern. Nevertheless, Congress/NCP are making hey while the sun is shining. Empty Tents and Chairs expenses will go into newly started "Austerity Measure Scheme" acount. jai Ho.
