  • A day after the demolition exercise at Kirpal Nagar, MC Commissioner AK Sinha on Friday asked the senior town planner to look into all the documents of the owner of the land and later they will decide whether MC needs to compensate the person or not.

It needs to be mentioned that as per the complaint lodged by Arun Katyal, a resident of the area and also a BJP worker, the owner, Ramakant Mishra had got 78 square yard land. However he allegedly started construction on 105 square yard of land. The entire 105 square yard area was covered construction and hence when MC went to demolish the walls, the rest of the structure also fell.

A few area residents also supported Katyal and said that the action of MC building team was justified. Today, a deputation of BJP councillors also met the commissioner, who has asked STP to study the matter closely.
