Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmit Singh Ram Rahim was questioned for over four hours on Wednesday by a three-member team of the Punjab Police amidst high security at the Punjab Police Headquarters here. The Dera chief was questioned about his alleged appearance in robes similar to those worn by Guru Gobind Singh following a directive by the Punjab and Haryana HC. Sources said the Dera chief was asked 12 questions during the interrogation, including those on why he chose to dress up like the Guru, where he got the dress from and on how the Jaam-e-Insan (nectar) was prepared and distributed. He was reportedly evasive in most of his replies. Sources revealed that the Dera chief claimed the robes were given to him by a disciple and were not similar to the one worn by the Guru. A detailed report of the interrogation would be submitted in the Punjab and Haryana HC on December 15.
