Devastated Sreesanth tweets ‘Jai Mata Di’

Sreesanth was dropped from India's World Cup squad and he expressed anguish in a tweet.

Star, and controversial, cricketer S Sreesanth has tweeted that he is heartbroken at being dropped from India’s World Cup 2011 squad.

He rued the fact that the selectors did not find it in themselves to put their faith in him.

Instead they opted for Munaf Patel, who is on a fine comeback. The toss-up was between Sreesanth and Ashish Nehra, but as with Yuvraj Singh, selectors opted for the person with experience – it must have been a tough choice as Srikkanth would have been under pressure to retain fellow South Indian Sreesanth in the squad.

In an indirect way,Sreesanth could not help but take a swipe at the selectors, saying that it’s lack of faith that makes people afraid of meeting challenges. He said,“I believe in myself.”

He concluded by saying ‘Jai Mata Di.

However,he went on to wish the team the very best in its attempt to wrest the World Cup for the country.

“ I am sure we will win this one,but I will surely miss being there. Was really looking forward to win it . I will keep trying no matter how small my chances are. I will never give up. I love this game.”

He signed off on a positive note, saying,“Maybe, the next World Cup.”
