While she earlier declined to extend the term of a senior official who happened to be CPM leader Sitaram Yechury’s sister-in-law, Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee’s office is learnt to have relented now. The officer will now be allowed a posting in Northern Railways so that she can be “accommodated” in Delhi. Earlier, the official had been packed off to Bengal. Didi, it seems, does not want to appear “politically vindictive”.
