Didn’t leak my resignation letter: Yashwant

A week after BJP president Rajnath Singh issued gag order on party leaders, barring them from speaking to the media, former party vice-president Yashwant Sinha reminded the party leadership about the media being “all-pervasive and omnipresent” and asserted that “he had not leaked his resignation letter to the media”.

“If somebody says I have leaked it,I will protest… I got to know about the acceptance of my resignation through the media. I did not receive any communication from the party in writing……I had sent it for that (acceptance),” Sinha said here upon his return from his constituency,Hazaribagh.

He took a dig at the central leadership’s gag order and wondered how every detail from the party’s two-day national executive was leaked to the media. “Where is the party discipline in all this? It should be examined… We must admit that the media today is all pervasive and omnipresent,” argued the former Union Minister.

Sinha also said he was not hankering after any post. “Yashwant Sinha was never so small and will never be so small as to run after a post,” he said and claimed that he “could mobilise a crowd of 10,000 anytime in the national capital”.
