Digvijaya says RSS supporting Baba

But I don’s want to get into it,” Singh said here.

Even as the government held negotiations with Baba Ramdev to persuade him to call off his fast,Congress general secretary Digvijaya Singh on Friday hit out at him alleging Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s (RSS) support to his plan and even questioning his yoga technique.

“Kuchh log kahte hain ki Baba jo yoga sikhate hain, wah yoga ki kriyaon ke vipreet hai (some people say that the yoga that he teaches is at variance with yoga exercises). But I don’s want to get into it,” Singh said here.

“RSS people are behind it all, from making pandals to policy making. I agree with Govindacharya that the BJP has lost credentials. I did not expect Govindacharya to bring Ramdev’s face to fight corruption. Agar Baba Ramdev ko rajniti karni hai,to woh maidan mein aa jayen (if Baba Ramdev has to do politics,he has to come out in the open),” said the Congress general secretary.

Congress spokesman Abhishek Manu Singhvi refused to comment on the fast saying,“The process is going on at the government level and we have nothing to say about it.” Asked if Congress felt Ramdev was indulging in “blackmail politics”,he said,“I am not talking about Ramdev or Anna Hazare. Whenever there is politics of blackmail,it is wrong.”

Asked about the party’s views about senior ministers of the government going to the airport to meet Ramdev,Singhvi said,“That is between the government and those who are dealing with it.”
