The DNA report of Bollywood actor Shiney Ahuja, arrested for alleged rape of his domestic maid, on Monday confirmed that the victim had been raped, police said. "The DNA report has confirmed rape of the victim," said Additional Police Commissioner Amitabh Gupta. "The report has corroborated the allegations in the FIR that the actor had raped his domestic help," Gupta added. The blood and urine samples also suggested that the actor was not under the influence of alcohol or drugs when he allegedly committed the crime.

The actor is lodged in Arthur Road jail after a court remanded him to judicial custody for raping the 20-year-old maid at his residence on June 14. He was arrested the next day.

The medical examination of the victim, who hails from Roha in Raigad district, had shown injuries on her private parts. The medical report of Shiney Ahuja had also shown an abrasion on his hand. The victim is just 38 kg while Ahuja is 76 kg. Since Ahuja is double the weight of the victim, he might have easily overpowered and raped her, a police official said.

Also, nail samples of the victim have been sent for forensic tests to gather corroborative evidence in the case, police said adding that the report is still awaited.
