Doctors say competition behind strained relationship with patients

  • However, some doctors feel that this trend must and will correct itself as it may prove harmful in certain cases. Dr Jaradi, says, “Partial knowledge creates bias in the minds of people.” Dr Keiki Mehta, leading Ophthalmic surgeon, adds, “Wrong information about even an eye drop might result in loss of sight.”

    Some doctors, however, continue to be optimistic. Dr Surase says, “If people try to equate the fees with the time a doctor spends with them, doctors must try and counsel them.” Dr Mehta says, “If the patients have the primary information, they must talk to doctors about their doubts. This kind of interaction will enhance the relation between the two.”
