The hearing of the December 16, 2012 gangrape-cum-murder case of a 23-year-old medical student will be held in a fast track court from today.

The hearing of the case will be on a day-to-day basis.

The physiotherapy student was gang-raped and brutally tortured by six people including a juvenile in a moving bus last year. She died of her injuries in a Singapore hospital on December 29.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Court is likely to hear the petition demanding shifting of the case to some other state.

Ram Singh, the prime accused in the brutal incident, has demanded that the case be transferred outside the national capital to ensure an impartial hearing.

Singh has said that he does not want the case to be heard in Delhi or Uttar Pradesh, and is open to it being heard in any other state.

Earlier, the Juvenile Justice Board reserved its order on the age of the minor accused in the case till January 28.

Last week, two school principals, former and current, of the minor accused appeared before the court. Their statements were recorded and the court reserved its order till January 28.
