It was a day of double delight for both Ajay Yadav and Mehak of Chandigarh as they won the Under-18 singles and doubles titles in the boys and girls' categories respectively in the AITA Championship Series being played at Harvest Tennis Academy.
In the girls' Under-18 final, Mehak of Chandigarh ended the challenge of Gundeep Kaur of Punjab with a resounding 6-1, 6-4 win. Mehak claimed the first set with a margin of 6-1 before claiming the second set with a margin of 6-4. In the girls' Under-18 doubles final, the duo of Mehak and Ravnoor Singh of Chandigarh defeated the pair of Harkirat Kaur and Hasan Dhanao of Punjab with a 4-1, 4-1 win.
It was easy going for Ajay Yadav in the boys' Under-18 final as he ended the challenge of Mandeep Singh Gill of Chandigarh with a 6-4, 6-3 win. Yadav claimed the first set with a margin of 6-4 before claiming the second set with a margin of 6-3. In the doubles' final in the same category, Ajay Yadav and Navneet Kumar ended the challenge of Hardarshan Gill and Arjun Tomar with a 4-1, 5-3.
