Playing to his potential, Manjot Singh displayed exquisite tennis to bag twin titles in the U-16 and Men's categories respectively, in the YMCA Total Tennis Championship held at the YMCA Total Tennis Academy, Sector 11, Chandigarh. Manjot rallied to an easy win, taking on Nikhil Sandhu in the U-16 boys final. He recorded 4-2, 4-2 triumph over Sandhu. Manjot was at his best playing against Sandhu. There was no sign of tiredness in the strong legs of Manjot, who rattled Parminder Singh in straight sets 6-3, 6-1 in the men's final to claim the title. Parminder was no match for in-form Manjot. In the boys U-14 final, Aniket Khosa overpowered Manvir Sohi 4-1, 5-3 to lift the title. The match lasted for 50 minutes, stretching both the players to their top level tennis. Meanwhile in the U-12 final boys encounter, Manvir Sohi thrashed Chiraz Singh in straight sets without even conceding a single game in the entire match. Manvir won the match 4-0, 4-0.

Mohali: The Total Tennis Academy will organise The British Total tennis championship at The British School, Sector 70, from October 20 to 22. This will be the fourth leg of Total tennis circuit. The event will be held in boys' Under-10, -12, -14 and girls' Under-12 and -14 age categories. Entries close with Varun at 9803682288 and Vikramjeet Singh at 9041100030 till 8 pm on October 19.
