Dowry death accused kills self in UP
JALAUN: One Lavkush, an accused in a case of dowry death, allegedly committed suicide in a police station on Thursday here within a day of being arrested. His wife had set herself ablaze on December 18 after being allegedly harassed for dowry demands. The accused hanged himself in the restroom of the police station. Lavkush's family claimed he took this step because of police atrocities. A probe is being conducted into it, the police said.
Woman ends life with 3 daughters in Bihar
PATNA: A woman, along with her three minor daughters, committed suicide by jumping before a train in Sasaram on Thursday. The police suspect that poverty prompted the woman to take the step. The deceased were identified as Sonamuni Devi (30), Anjali (5), Chanchali (3) and Baby (1).
