Actor Shivani Pasrich & BCPBF (Breast Cancer Patients Benefit Foundation) unveiled the concept of the play Draupadi - We Are so Different Now! at Sanskriti Kala Kendra in New Delhi. The entire star cast & the crew of the play,namely,Shivani Pasrich, Anjoli Ela Menon ,Ritu Kumar,Tina Johnson,a renowned theater director from South Africa who had directed the play & some other prominent names like Sanjit Bedi,Dilip Shankar and Charu Shankar showed their presence during the introduction of the play. The play is about the eloquent projection of travails of Modern Day woman in India,which is similar to the life of Draupadi that unfolded thousands of years ago. Shivani Pasrich elaborated,on the occasion of the 100 year anniversary celebration of the national woman's day it is hugely relevant to empower each other with our thoughts and actons. This play is my drop in the ocean urging people to use their strength to be resilient,learning from the past and creating a better tomorrow. The concept of the play has a social & charitable purpose,which is committed to the fight against breast cancer. The fund,which will be raised through the play,will go to Breast Cancer Patients Benefits Foundation founded by Dr. Sameer Kaul which is making an effort to tackle the crux of the matter - non-availability of finances in the financially under privileged sections of our community. The charity also includes an outreach programme that aims to impart knowledge and motivate the higher strata of society to contribute towards the noble cause by conducting fund raising events.
