Jasvir Singh, a tractor driver from Dhaliwal village, Jalandhar, was looted by a miscreant dressed as a police official on Saturday. Reportedly, a Nokia mobile phone and Rs 37,400 in cash were taken away from the tractor driver who along with his nephew Sukhvinder Singh was returning to his village after selling sugarcane crop. The incident happened at Kaara Baara Chowk in Ludhiana where the accused told him to follow him towards Jalandhar bypass and collect his money and phone from a higher police official. However, when the victim reached there, no one was there. A case has been registered.
