The fastest growing high-tech company is Drishtee Dot Com Limited, a rural network for delivering services and related information to the village community, according to the Deloitte's ranking of 50 fatest-growing technology companies in India.
Drishtee which operates through an ICT centre called as Drishtee Soochnalaya or Information Kiosk, achieved a revenue growth of 1,187 per cent over the past three years, it said.
Delhi-based ACL Wireless Limited, leading provider of cutting-edge wireless solutions and provider of mobile value added services, came second with 1,148 per cent three-year revenue growth. The top five winners achieved a collective average three-year revenue growth rate of 853 per cent.
According to Deloitte, following in third place was Financial Technologies (India) Limited, India's leading vertical specialist enterprise delivering mission-critical, Straight Through Processing (STP) solutions comprising Domain Expertise, Technology Licensing and Development and Transaction Outsourcing. It recorded a 744 per cent three-year revenue growth.
The following industries represented the majority of the winners: Software (48 per cent), and communications/networking (16 per cent). These industries make up 64 per cent of the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 India 2006 ranking. The Software industry is the leading growth sector in India.
``Despite the large diversity of the winning industries, they all have one thing in common - fast revenue growth over the last three years,'' said Steven Dow, Technology Fast 500 Asia Pacific Project Director, Deloitte, Hong Kong.
He said that technology companies with fast sustainable growth will continue to emerge in India, given the positive market outlook. ``The development of India's high-tech industry will become more sophisticated and diversified''.
