A 30-year old man was shot dead by his own brother in a Greater Noida village late on Wednesday night. The accused was misbehaving with his sister-in-law. When his elder brother protested, he shot him dead. He also fired and critically injured his sister-in-law. Surendra Verma, SP Rural, Gautam Budh Nagar, said Amit and Manoj would often fight over petty issues. “Amit Singh had married Santosh two year ago. She was pregnant. Manoj had on earlier occasions tried to sexually assault her. Last night, Manoj started hitting her. When Amit came to her rescue, Manoj shot him,” informed SP Rural. He was reportedly in an inebriated condition. Santosh was rushed to Yashoda Hospital where she is critical and her unborn child has died. Manoj managed to escape.
