A 20-year-old Delhi University student has alleged that she was repeatedly raped by her classmate over a period of three years.
Based on her complaint, a case has been registered against her classmate in Lodhi Colony police station of South Delhi on Friday, police said.
According to the girl's statement to police, she said the accused lured her into a relationship after promising to marry her. She told police that he later became engaged to another woman. She alleged that for over three years, the accused forced her to have a physical relationship with him.
The student also stated in her complaint that she does not want her parents to be informed about the case as they would disown her if they find out about her relationship with the accused.
A case of rape has been registered and and investigation is on, police said.
