  • Double Emmy Award winner Fred Holmes who is the director of the film prefers to put the film as that of the heart and the land. “When rural India meets rural America, there is just no place for New York,” he quipped.

A comedy of errors, the film is a multi-lingual film with dialogues in Punjabi as well as English. It’s through a series of comedic situations that arise because of a difference in language and culture that the story moves forward, the director revealed.

Pakistani-Indian artiste Mehr and Stephan Singh, born to Indian and American parents, are the other two “multi-cultural” artists in the film. True to his profession, Prem Chopra did not miss a chance to urge people not to buy and see pirated films.

He requested: “Piracy is eating into our profession and people should go buy tickets and watch a film. This helps the industry to grow in a major way.”
