Educomp bags NASSCOM foundation ‘innovation’ honours

Educomp Solutions has won top honours in the for-profit category in NSIH 2010 for their exemplary work in field of social development through use of technology in education.

Soumya Kanti,President,Edureach (Educomp’s ICT Division) received the award from the Chief Minister of Maharashtra,Ashok Chavan,at an award ceremony held in Mumbai.

Eminent jury comprising Narayana Murthy,Ms. Rama Bijapurkar – Market Strategy Consultant,Jerry Rao and Dr Saurabh Srivastava chose Educomp over the other shortlisted companies for their ‘ICT projects’ and its impact on society through innovation,which helped achieve social development/aided community.

Expressing happiness at receiving the award,Soumya Kanti said,“It is indeed a proud moment for us to receive this prestigious honour from NASSCOM,especially from this eminent Jury. Educomp,has over the years focused on the use of technology to enhance the process of teaching-learning with the vision that education has the power to transform lives of our children and their families”.

Educomp’s ICT Project won the honour for its success in leveraging technology enabled learning solutions to increase enrolment and reduce dropout rates in government schools across India. Educomp has ushered in a whole new teaching-learning paradigm in these schools by offering interventions,products and services that have bridged the learning opportunity gap between the haves and have-nots.
