While headbangers revelled in the menace of American thrash metal bands such as Megadeth, Slayer and Lamb of God, EDM got a new lease of life with acts by Swedish House Mafia and David Guetta. We were drawn to the call of the moshpit as flame-haired Dave Mustaine obliged us with iconic tracks such as Holy Grail and Trust, and welled up as veteran rocker Carlos Santana picked up his signature guitar, Paul Reed Smith Santana 3, for us. The icing on the cake was Guns N' Roses' maiden visit to India, which had Axl Rose plunging into an anthology of the band's greatest hits. The year belonged to metal and EDM and everyone wanted a piece of both
Megadeth owned the stage from the first chord. The vocals may have been jagged, but headbangers came in droves to see the Head Crushers croon some of the most famous metal anthems known to the world at the Bacardi NH7 Weekender in Delhi
