Electronic Explosion

While headbangers revelled in the menace of American thrash metal bands such as Megadeth, Slayer and Lamb of God, EDM got a new lease of life with acts by Swedish House Mafia and David Guetta. We were drawn to the call of the moshpit as flame-haired Dave Mustaine obliged us with iconic tracks such as Holy Grail and Trust, and welled up as veteran rocker Carlos Santana picked up his signature guitar, Paul Reed Smith Santana 3, for us. The icing on the cake was Guns N' Roses' maiden visit to India, which had Axl Rose plunging into an anthology of the band's greatest hits.
