A demolition drive was conducted by the Building Branch of the Municipal Corporation at E block BRS Nagar on Tuesday.
The team demolished several green belts as well as ramps constructed by the residents which had narrowed the roads.
A gate, installed by the residents for security purposes, was demolished too.
Area Councillor Hari Singh Brar was also present at the spot. “Green patches are a must on both sides of the roads, but for this, the roads should not be encroached upon. I have asked the MC to develop green belts on either side of the roads according to the norms.”
