  • What they need to learn and remember is that bipartisanship is indispensable in times of crisis and certainly makes life easier at most other times. The opposition is no less responsible in a democratic set-up. That responsibility is to undertake constructive criticism and to offer help and advice. Interestingly, at the moment, the JD(U) runs Bihar but happens to be in the opposition at the Centre. It is the other way round for the Rashtriya Janata Dal and the Lok Janshakti Party. Perhaps, the three have realised that this visible co-operation is just what the people of Bihar, their constituents, are calling for. That’s so much for the better, since power derives from the people. It is their call to not fail their electorate.

Let Lalu Prasad answerBy: Akshaya Kumar | 16-Nov-2008 Reply | Forward What is surprising in all these developments is that nobody has ever questioned Mr.Lalu Prasad Yadav as to why he could not do to Bihar what he 'claims' he has done for the Indian Railways. I have had to travel by train via Bihar thrice, and all three times, I kept my fingers crossed till the train left behind Bihar! The likes of Raj Thackery should have no place in our society; but many people might secretly agree (it may be politically incorrect to say so) that but for Raj's goondaism, Lalu would have changed Mumbai into Patna. You cannot celebrate Chhat Puja in Mumbai on a scale larger than how Ganapati Puja is celebrated. And Lalu was almost about to do just that! It is again politics of vote that even our 'honest' PM cannot question Lalu on anything whatsoever.
BIHAR LEAD INDIABy: JATINDER S HOON | 14-Nov-2008 Reply | Forward ONE STATE POISON IS ANOTHER STATE AMRIT,RAJ THACKERAY HAS DONE GREAT SERVICE TO WAKE UP BIHAR POLITICIANS TO START TAKING CARE OF ITS STATE.BIHAR CAN BE AND WILL BE NEXT GOLDEN STATE OF INDIA, PROVIDED THESE PETTY POLITICIANS GIVE UP THEIR PERSONAL AGENDAS AND WORK FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE STATE.
Jai Bihar, Jai HindBy: A. Gangaram | 14-Nov-2008 Reply | Forward Will they first practice birth control, abandon foeticide and crimes against women, get educated and learn to read and write the national language instead of Purabiya Bhojpuri? India awaits the emancipation of Bihar and other BIMARU states from the clutches of casteist and criminal leadership that has so mesmerised the National Media with its excesses in falsehood and prevarication at each turn!!!
