The process for admissions to first year engineering courses will begin from Tuesday. The directorate of technical education (DTE) has displayed the schedule for document verification on its website.
According to the notification,the eligibility criteria are as mentioned in the information brochures issued at the time of submission of application form for MHT-CET 2010 and to be issued at the time of submission of online application form.
For 2010-11,the competent authority shall conduct four rounds of centralised admission. The CAP shall consist of first three rounds of centralised allotment wherein two candidates will fill separate/fresh online option forms for respective rounds. Fourth round of CAP will be conducted by way of counselling only for the eligible Maharashtra state candidates, says the notification.
Those candidates who have once confirmed their admission in any one of the six autonomous institutes are not eligible to participate in any of the CAP rounds conducted by the DTE. Even if such candidates subsequently cancelled their admission in autonomous institutes,they will not be considered eligible to participate in CAP rounds, says the notification.
The detailed schedule for display of availability of seats,submission and confirmation of option form for CAP rounds ,allotment of seats,reporting to the institutes and admission by counseling round shall be notified after declaration of final merit on July 7,clarifies the notification.
Meanwhile,Monday is the last date for submission of application forms for six autonomous engineering colleges in the state. The provisional merit list will be displayed on June 23. The full schedule is available on the website http://www.coep.org.in.
